CPR Classes
Boston College EMS is proud to offer American Heart Association CPR classes to BCEMS members, Boston College students and faculty, and the larger community of Boston.
As of right now, CPR classes will be held in person on campus. You’ll be notified of the class location once you have completed registration.
Class Dates:
September 5th at 11:30 AM (BLS)
September 7th at 3:30 PM (BLS)
September 9th at 3:30 PM (BLS)
September 12th at 2:00 PM (BLS)
September 13th at 1:30 PM (BLS)
A valid CPR certification is required to join BCEMS. We will be offering numerous classes prior to the fall application cycle that will be open to both prospective members and the general public.

- Register for the class using the linked Google Form. Scheduling will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Payment instructions will soon be provided. Please hold off on payment temporarily. For reference, the fee for “BLS for Healthcare Professionals” is $75.00 and the fee for “HeartSavers First Aid/AED course” is $50.00.
HeartSaver First Aid CPR/AED
This course provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR, and use of an AED. This course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community.
American Heart Association CPR & AED Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals (BLS)
This course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and the use of a bag valve mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation (AED). This course is designed for healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, and nurses, who must have a credential documenting successful completion of a CPR course, or to others who wish to learn the most in-depth version of CPR available. This course satisfies the requirements for BC nursing students and Boston College EMS members.
